Port Moresby and Lae Terminal and Congestion Fees
To our valued customers,
Swire Shipping wishes to advise that following review and consistent improvement in vessel berthing times at Motukea International Terminal (MIT), and South Pacific International Container Terminal (SPICTL), both operated by ICTSI South Pacific.
Working with the management of ICTSI South Pacific and PNG Ports Corporation, Swire Shipping is appreciative of the collaborative operational efforts to improve vessel berth and operation times, and that we are now in a position to remove the Port Congestion Fee (PCF) currently applied to import and export cargo with effect from 1st July 2021.
The current PCF of USD 75/teu on containerised cargoes, and USD 4.50/rt on breakbulk cargo will not be charged for vessels berthing on or after 1st July 2021.
ICTSI South Pacific recently announced an increase to their stevedoring charges effective 1st July 2021. This increase will be applied to all cargo handled by their terminals. Swire Shipping will therefore adjust our current Terminal Origin Charge (TOC), and Terminal Destination Charge (TDC) recoveries to reflect this cargo cost increase. The adjusted recoveries will be applied to cargo handled on or after 1st July 2021. The following recovery rates will apply and remain consistent with our current structure:
Swire Shipping TOC/TDC Recovery |
Cargo Type | ||
20′ Equipment | 40′ Equipment | Breakbulk | |
Motukea International Terminal | PGK 340.00 | PGK 680.00 | PGK 9.50 (per R/T) |
South Pacific International Terminal | PGK 268.00 | PGK 536.00 | PGK 9.50 (per R/T) |
Swire Shipping appreciates your continued support and remains committed to providing sustainable shipping solutions.
